Inno Sense Jointed (Trust)

The Inno Sense Jointed is a traditional single-jointed mouthpiece made from Trust's soft synthetic Inno Sense material over an internal core. Like any single-joint design, it folds into a V-shape under rein contact, which creates a degree of nutcracker action — pressure that squeezes across the tongue and bars as the two halves rotate. The Inno Sense material takes the edge off this action considerably compared to a plain metal jointed bit, giving a gentler, warmer contact while still delivering clear, defined signals through the bars and sides of the tongue.

This makes the Jointed a good foundation bit for horses that respond well to a traditional joint but benefit from a softer material — including young horses being introduced to contact, or those transitioning from a metal single-joint. It is not recommended for horses who are particularly tongue-sensitive, since it does not offer any tongue relief — pressure is applied directly rather than redistributed.
